The Heart Behind Active Pathways
Damir Skific stands at the helm of Active Pathways, a signature movement coaching initiative designed to help neurodivergent individuals and those with developmental needs build resilience, self-reliance, and enduring wellness. As a dedicated coach at CrossFit Rockland with an Ironman and marathon swimming background, he brings over two decades of executive clinical expertise to the table, merging scientific methodology with a focus on long-term behavioral growth. His primary fuel is his experience as a father to a son with autism. This personal connection revealed a gap in traditional fitness: the need for environments that do more than burn calories—they must cultivate life skills, social ties, and autonomy. Active Pathways was born to bridge this gap. Damir operates on the belief that every person possesses inherent value and hidden capabilities. Rather than looking at limitations, he identifies opportunities, guiding every athlete to surpass their own expectations through steady support and intentional activity. His framework centers on three pillars: Strength, Empowerment, and Connection. By meeting athletes at their current level, honoring every milestone, and building a communal space, Damir empowers participants to advance in physical, mental, and social dimensions. Through Active Pathways, he aims to reveal potential via movement, paving the way for every individual to achieve a more vibrant, self-assured, and independent lifestyle.
